1. Service Description
ArtistStack is a career management platform designed for independent musicians. We provide tools for brand development, fan management, industry networking, email drafting, release tracking, revenue management, and career coaching. The service is provided by ArtistStack (“we,” “us,” “our”).
2. Account Terms
- You must be at least 13 years old to use ArtistStack.
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
- One account per person. Duplicate accounts may be terminated.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
- Send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk communications through our platform
- Upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or otherwise objectionable
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated means to access the service without permission
- Attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Share your account credentials with others
4. Intellectual Property
Your Content: You retain full ownership of all content you create, upload, or input into ArtistStack — including your music metadata, brand materials, fan lists, contacts, and any other data.
Our License: By using ArtistStack, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. We will never sell your content or use it for purposes unrelated to your use of the platform.
Our IP: The ArtistStack platform, including its design, code, features, and branding, is our intellectual property. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the platform.
5. Third-Party Integrations
ArtistStack integrates with third-party services including:
- Gmail: We access your email only to send and read messages on your behalf, as you authorize.
- SoundCloud: Used for music discovery and recommendation features.
- Mailchimp: Used for fan list synchronization, only when you connect your account.
We access only the data you explicitly authorize. Each integration can be disconnected at any time. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
6. Smart Features Disclaimer
ArtistStack uses smart features for career coaching, email drafting, brand generation, and content suggestions. Important:
- Auto-generated content is provided as suggestions only
- You should always review and edit auto-generated content before sending or publishing
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, appropriateness, or effectiveness of auto-generated content
- You are responsible for any content you choose to send or publish, even if it was auto-generated
- Your data is processed by third-party services to provide these features

8. Payment Terms
ArtistStack is currently provided free of charge during our beta period. We may introduce paid subscription tiers in the future. If we do:
- We will provide at least 30 days notice before any pricing changes
- Existing free features will remain accessible
- Payment terms will be clearly communicated before any charges
9. Termination
By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, with notice when possible.
By You: You can delete your account at any time through your account settings. Upon deletion:
- Your data will be retained for 30 days in case you change your mind
- After 30 days, all data will be permanently purged from our systems
- You may request an export of your data before deletion
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ArtistStack and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the service. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do:
- We will notify you via email and/or in-app notification
- Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance
- Material changes will include at least 30 days notice
